Our dumpster is here!
We patiently waited (not really) for our construction loan and contractor to be ready. Finally. D-Day.
Demolition Day arrived. Demolition began on Thursday, May 13, 2010.
We have lots to do in regards to demolition. Walls and ceilings are coming out. A former owner decided to lower the nearly 12’ ceilings to 9’ in order to save on their electric bill. CRAZY. So, we are raising the roof—well, the ceilings back to 12’. We also plan to create an open great room so walls between the kitchen and living room are coming out. The Master Bedroom is expanding, and we are completely gutting the Master Bath. The backside of the house will be turned into a guest room, guest bath and mudroom. We will also finish out the 1500 square feet of unfinished attic space but that will be touched last.
