Demo is done after 6 full dumpsters.

This past week took care of the last important mass demolition projects. The last major demo project was the half bathroom that the workers had been using. Now that it's gone it's porta john to the rescue. The half bath was right where the main hallway of the house will be. This is the hall that will access every room and the stairs will drop into. It is a great feeling to finally get rid of this bathroom. It was the last obstruction blocking the future hallway. We can now see the front door from the back of the house.

The last major demo obstacle to overcome is taking down the leaning chimney seen below. The chimney is in pretty bad shape and will need to be removed to ensure the soon to be remodeled house isnt destroyed by the falling chimney.

This is a inside picture of the chimeny. You can see the center part bowing in the middle causing  the whole 30'+ structure to lean. Not good! I was shocked to find out how much it would cost to replace the chimney $10,000-$20,000. What? Just for the chimney! So sadly, we are not going to replace it.
