306 Days and still waiting.

We are still waiting. We thought we might get to move in tomorrow or this coming weekend.... but no.        They started striping the floors 8 days ago. After  4 days of sanding I had to go up to the house so they could tell me about the problem. Evidently our floors are a bit sappy. (little full lots of sap). This means longer sanding time and a lot longer stain drying time. The first coat of stain went on 4 and 5 days ago. Still waiting to hear when the 2nd coat can go on. The newer floors get 2 coats of stain to match the old wood. We have been told it could take 1 week or more for each coat to dry because of the sappiness. That means we maybe waiting over 10 more days. :-(. Scott leaves for India on April 1st. We are hoping to move in before he leaves.

We continue to wait. Whats new.
